This is my first time attending a TV pre-recorded event. I really like the ambience. I think 8TV did a very good job coming up with this concept.
This event was hosted by uprising host Henry Golding & Sarah Lian

You will notice a few photo that looks like HDR but they are not really because I didn’t use any HDR techniques to process them. All I did was just some slider adjustment in Lightroom and the finished product reminds of of Dave Hill. Yes, I think they are more like Dave Hill style. I recommend you check out his website if you haven’t seen his photos.
i quite like the landscape framing too.

The legendary Glenfiddich and friends. but the taste of 12 yrs old glenfiddich is quite disappointing compared to the 15 yrs.
Joining hands to build a better world. kidding. We were just playing the ‘kam min toi’ (cover blanket) game. 🙂 taken by Xi Ming.
group portrait at Batu Dam, Ulu Yam.
Great team deserves another portrait.
I only took a few scenery shots as everybody was rushing to go home. This is one of my favourite.

2 weeks ago I attended a corporate meeting where someone would give a presentation, whether you like it or not. The content was great so don’t get me wrong. 😉 I brought my camera gear that day so I decided to take a few pics of the enthusiastic speaker. But the ambience was pretty dark and the place has a low ceiling. Mounting my Sony F58 flash on my camera and shoot direct would be too harsh on my subject. Bounce the flash up on low ceiling won’t spread the light evenly. He was standing right in between 2 pillars so I clipped one flash with Justin clamp on each side, facing the speaker and started shooting. Kinda enjoying myself. Now call me the self-appointed unofficial corporate event photographer, in strobist style!
My good friend, Adrian who is also a keen photographer, took this to try out my setup.
No fancy lighting but i like the mini spotlight. The 2 gentlemen in this picture are Johnny and George. Both are my good friends too.

I did a pre wedding shoot again last Saturday! What makes the difference is that that this time I’m the photographer. It was a tiring day for me, but I think the couple were more exhausted as I know how it feels like being the model after gone thru my own wedding. Kin Wai made a request that he wants something different from the usual prewedding photos. The outcome is quite pleasing in the end though I wish I could do better. Here is the preview (more like a teaser) while I’m still doing the editing work.

Guess what. It took me almost 1 year to setup my blog. Not that I don’t know how to do it but I just keep procrastinating. Till recently I realise there are so many photos just sitting on my computer and yet very few is shared out for viewing. I thought if I keep taking pictures but not sharing, what’s the point? So I finally start blogging. hehe.
Since i’m a strobist fan, let me begin with this picture.
